Due to the HIGH FIRE RISK, there is a general ban on the setting of and releasing of fireworks, fire crackers, flares, paper lanterns and other such paraphernalia in the Cape Agulhas municipal area. Anyone in contravention faces severe penalties and/or further punitive action.

The public is encouraged to report any incidents of infringement that may be encountered in this regard to the Law Enforcement on telephone number 028 425 5500 or 082 457 1774.

In case of an emergency please contact the Fire Department at 028 425 1690.
