A Big Day Tomorrow

A Big Day Tomorrow

Pikkewyntjies / Penguinkidz Pre-School

Tomorrow a group of Tsogo Sun employees are making the trip to Betty's Bay to tackle three major outdoors projects we can't do by ourselves.

They are all to do with shade cloth and Tsogo Sun has even and wholly unexpectedly, donated the cost of the shade cloth.

Task 1

Cut shade cloth and attach to playground fence with twine, the bottom secion to be buried in the soil.

PURPOSE:  Keep out snakes in the summer months which although harmless are much better kept away from the children,

Task 2

Cut shade cloth and attach to North West and South East sides of Veggie Garden cage with cable ties

PURPOSE: Act as windbreaks to protect the plants

Task 3

Cut and sew shade cloth to make a cover for the Veggie Garden, then hoist into place with ropes and secure with cable ties

PURPOSE: Protect the plants from excessive heat

As rain is forecast for tomorrow, 11 August and a fairly strong wind which won't help us get the work done, please hold thumbs it holds off until the afternoon.  We do so badly need this work to be done.

The pic shows the torn shade cloth after recent storms.  We think it did very well to last five years.
