This year the kids made beautiful Mother’s Day gift boxes which were filled with chocolates donated by Sandra.
Adna was a dear little boy when he attended Pikkewyntjies. He moved on to primary school in Kleinmond and Juffrou Zaan heard recently that he has earned a scholarship for Grade 8 at Curro School in Hermanus. If he proves himself, he will be funded all the way to matric. Of course, he will prove himself so there he is - on his way and we are all thrilled for him.
Juffrou Zaan said very modestly that this proves the value of Early Childhood Education. She's right about that but much as I don't want to contradict the Head of School, I think in this case it proves the value of Pikkewyntjies Pre-school. Hats off to her and her staff who build their little charges' self confidence and teach them to dream.
Hats off to Adna for making the most of his opportunities. We all congratulate him, felicitate him and wish him every success.
