Juffrou Zaan doesn't want the boys and girls to grow up not knowing that many people attach a great deal of importance to Easter and their attachment has nothing to do with hot cross buns at the bakery in Kleinmond Spar or the tempting Lindt Bunnies on display at the end of every aisle.  

Before Easter the children heard the story of Easter and asked many questions. Then a tree was set up in the classroom and everyone made a cross out of clay and decorated it with beads. When they were dry, they were hung on The Easter Tree. Each cross was different and the tree looked very pretty, especially when the sun shone on the beads.  

It was a very happy time at the school.
