This year the kids made beautiful Mother’s Day gift boxes which were filled with chocolates donated by Sandra.
The youngest children in the school are the 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds who are affectionately called the Pikke. Their friend and teacher is Juffrou Genevieve.
Just as the Pikke learn to enjoy school, playing with classmates and co-operating to complete puzzles and lego models, they learn to master skills through the enjoyment of drawing and working with playdough and experimenting with paint. By the time they are going on 5, they are ready to move up to Juffrou Zaan’s class to begin to prepare for school.
An important part of the Pikke’s school day is dental hygiene. They are taught why it’s important and the correct way to brush teeth. Each one has a toothbrush and brushing teeth after meals is routine.
Talking of meals - a while ago someone kind donated tins of food to the school. The Pikke, as you see, were delighted because they knew they would get to share in the spoils.
