Join the Nuwejaars Wetlands Special Management Area this holiday season for a guided wetlands safari, close to the Southernmost tip of Africa.

Experience the thrill of seeing buffalo, hippo, bontebok and quagga that have been reintroduced into their natural environment after almost facing extinction. Make the most of magnificent photo opportunities in what can only be described as a birders paradise. The natural bird sanctuary is home to feathered beauties such as Blue cranes, Denham’s bustard, Southern Black korhaan and Black harriers.

Morning Safari

Cost - R350 per person
Time - 8:30
Venue - meet at Black Oystercatcher Wine Farm

Includes - coffee and rusks

Sunset Safari

Cost - R400 per person
Time - 17:00
Venue - meet at Black Oystercatcher Wine Farm
Duration - two hours
Includes - sundowners
