Masakane’s Eastern Cape United soccer team played in the local league for the past two seasons. In the first season, the team finished 14th out of 17 teams and in the second season bettered itself to a number seven position. They were privileged to receive brand new outfits from White Shark Projects (WSP) previously. Natasha Smith from WSP appears here with Mandlonke Ngazini (middle) who initiated the sponsorship and who is working at WSP for the past thirteen years.
Mr Ngazini said that the main objects are to keep the youth off the streets and to fight against drug abuse through healthy sport participation. He thanked White Shark Projects for the generous sponsorship.
Anyone interested in participating in any of Eastern Cape United’s team efforts can contact the Chairperson, Mr Mhlaba at 0735771207.
