Norman Sauls van Blompark het trots laat weet dat hy Ikamva se eerste aartappeloes uitgehaal het. Ikamva Jeugontwikkeling en Rekenaar-sentrum, is ‘n organisasie wat fokus op die toekoms van die jeug. Ikamva, ‘n Xhosa-woord wat “die toekoms” beteken, word dus heel gepas gebruik vir hul werksaamhede.
Blompark se Ikamva-groentetuin was ook een van die groentetuine wat deelgeneem het aan Gansbaai Toerisme se jaarlikse tuinboukompetisie. Hulle het breëbors weggestap met ‘n prys.
