2022 Lomond Triathlon

The 7th annual Lomond Triathlon, as part of the Lomond Festival of Sport, is the perfect way to finish your year. Do so in spectacular fashion by swimming in the beautiful Lomond dam, riding your mountain bike on the manicured trails of the Walkerbay Fynbos Conservancy and running around the vineyards of the Lomond Wine Estate. We cannot wait to welcome you to this perfect triathlon venue…

Once again the event will have 2 distances, a long and short course, and you can choose to do it all or as part of a team of 2 or 3. The Kids Event in association with Orca will also be a highlight for all the youngsters. The Lomond Triathlon is truly an event for the whole family, so bring them along to take part or for support. Parking is close to the venue and lots will be on offer to entertain everyone. Live entertainment and various food stalls will round off the day, along with all the famous Lomond wines.

Join the Festival of Sport and do either the Lomond Open Water swim or the Lomond Trail Run on Sunday the 11th. Lots of distances to choose from.

Entries close on 6 December 2022. No entries at the venue or registration. 

Routes:

The routes will be the same as the previous years. We aim to cater for all abilities.

Distances:

• FULL - 1000m Swim, 28km MTB, 12km Trail Run (Wetsuit allowed)

• SPRINT - 500m Swim, 15km MTB, 5km Trail Run (Wetsuit allowed) 

• KIDS - 6-8 years: 50m Swim, 1.5km MTB, 500m Trail Run (Parent allowed)

• KIDS - 9-11 years: 100m Swim, 5km MTB, 2km Trail Run (Parent allowed)

• KIDS - 12-14 years: 200m Swim, 10km MTB, 3km Trail Run (Parent allowed)

Starting Times, Categories, and Entry Fees:

• 08:00 - FULL - SOLO - R850

• 08:00 - FULL - TEAM - R900

• 09:00 - SPRINT - SOLO - R650

• 09:00 - SPRINT - TEAM - R750

• 11:30 - All KIDS races - R150 (Parents encouraged to join)

All swimmers need to wear a brightly coloured swimming cap.
