Meet Artist Chris Cloete

"I stay in a small artsy town in the Western Cape near Cape Town. This is where I started to develop my own style of art and creativity through my lack of formal art training which allowed me to begin my art journey from a "black canvas".

I have exhibited my work at Greyton Art Gallery, and Greyton Art Walk and most recently I was invited to exhibit in Galeria Gaudi, Madrid.

The uniqueness of my art comes from my use of pallet knives and scrapers allowing me to apply once-off textures adding a layer of authenticity to my works.

My new unique art collection named 55+1 Shades of Grey is a direct result of my life and different layers of thought. Shades of grey and the dash of red, the +1 also highlights my belief that there is hope in life that he provides."
