Janet Richards has been at the lodge since 2014 and took over managing it in 2019. Janet has a passion for people. She is always on hand to give the best advice about Greyton’s top attractions.
Many repeat guests say that Janet’s friendly hospitality and the lodge’s good vibes inspire them to return year after year.
Funds generated from the Greyton Ecolodge are used for the Eco-Crew / Ranger programme run by Greyton Transition Town.
Greyton Transition Town is part of the worldwide movement of around 3,000 towns. The organisation brings communities together to find local solutions to global challenges.
GTT is the first official transition town in South Africa and a flagship project of the Western Cape government’s 110% Green Initiative. It works within the community on such issues as food security, waste management, healthy housing, renewable energy and integration.
