Vacancy Hermanus - Sales representative - Technical

We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, positive and enthusiastic Sales Representative with the skill to canvas new sales and maintain and grow existing customers.

The sales representative must have an interest in and knowledge of technical products in the security industry.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• 1-2 years of experience in selling
• Excellent customer services
• Very good administrative skills and time management
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport and willing to travel to site when necessary
• Clear credit and criminal record
• Sound and proven record of meeting sales targets
• The ability to explain the features of a product
• Numerical ability
• Strong and proven record of closing sales
• Computer literate and above-average knowledge of computers / IT
• Strong communication skills written and verbal
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Confidence in cold-calling

Duties:

• Thorough knowledge of products sold
• Answer all questions about products sold
• Emphasize features of products to highlight how the solving customer needs
• Upselling: Persuade buyers to purchase an additional product
• Identify prospective customers, generate and convert leads
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to embed customer loyalty and continued relationship with the organisation
• Assist with all in-house IT problems or issues
• Communicate regularly with Stock Controller to ensure adequate stock levels in the shop
• Keep up with current sales trends
• Site visits if, and when, required to identify possible leads or resolve client’s queries
• Liaise with Business Owner on a daily basis to give a rundown of the activities in the shop, i.e queries, sales, complaints, leads, suggestions, etc
