The Western Cape Government is currently rolling out their fibre installations project to all government institutions including the schools in Greater Hermanus.
This project will ensure stable internet connectivity to these institutions that will enhance teaching and service delivery.
At the same time MTN is also working on the upgrading of their fibre to tower service at present.
This work follows a route through Hermanus Heights.
They are required to notify the affected residents by SMS before starting with excavations. If it did not occur, this oversight will be taken up with them.
It is understood that residents may be inconvenienced by these works, but once completed it will indeed be to the benefit of all residents and learners in the Greater Hermanus area. Hence, a little patience is requested.
