July 2023 Newsletter: The Stanford Shout-Out
Here we are in July already! The winter cold certainly arrived early in an extremely wet way.
It’s getting cold outside. Time to get our winter woolies out and keep warm. However, for many children who live in shacks with no safe heating at all, winter is not fun. Imagine getting into a cold bed (often just some planks on the floor with a thin mattress) with not even a warm blanket to snuggle into.
On the other hand, we have the elderly, who are also very vulnerable in the cold weather, particularly to flu or even pneumonia.
We’re appealing to you, our kind and generous supporters, to once again dig deep and sponsor a few blankets for those in need. We’re estimating the need to be between 150 and 180 blankets this year.
Deposits can be made directly into our bank account as follows:

Crocheted or knitted blankets for babies up to 2 years old are always welcome.
We are also happy to accept second-hand blankets, provided they are clean and in good condition.
Thank you! Your contribution will make a huge difference in the life of a person in need.

February was all about the schools and students.
We have certainly hit the ground running and what better way to kick off 2023 than by supporting a young music group from Die Kop?
With 2022 behind us and a whole new year to look forward to, we thought we’d send share with all our wonderful supporters and friends snippets of our projects.
